Designing My Dream Wedding

Top 4 Things You Want Included In Your Wedding Package

Menu venues offer newlyweds-to-be a chance to purchase a wedding package. Taking advantage of wedding packages is a great way to stay on budget. It also relieves the stress of having to book the included services and products separately. When considering wedding packages, there are a few things you'll want to make sure are included.

Catering

One of the biggest expenses besides the facility rental fee is the catering. Some vendors will forgo the cost of the room rental if you agree to use their catering team and you have a certain minimum number of guests that you are inviting. This equals big savings and eliminates the need to coordinate with an outside caterer who may or may not be familiar with the location. Additionally, some places even provide the wedding cake when you purchase their catering package.

Floral Services

Check to see if the wedding packages include floral services. If they do, make sure you inquire as to exactly what that entails. Some florists will cover the floral decorations, as well as the bride's bouquet, but will only supply a certain number of bouquets for the maid of honor and the bridesmaids. Wedding corsages and boutonnieres for the groom, groomsmen, and parents of the bride and groom may also be included.

Photographer and DJ Services

Another big money saver is a wedding package that includes photographer and disc jockey services. When it comes to the photographer, keep in mind that while the services are included, the actual photographs are not. You'll need to make a separate deal as to how many photographs you'd like to purchase and in what format. Also, the DJ may only be contracted to play a specific number of hours. If you'd like to extend those hours, there may be an extra fee to do so. Still, the discounts are well worth it and you'll be paying less overall.

Bridal Suite/Honeymoon Suite

Depending on the venue you are looking at, there is a good chance the wedding package will include either the use of a bridal suite for the ladies in the bridal party to get dressed and have their hair and makeup done on-site, or a honeymoon suite for the happy couple's first night together as man and wife. Hotel's are well known for supplying these extras in their wedding packages, however, some venues that are nearby popular hotels are also able to offer the deal. They are able to strike this deal with nearby hotels because the hotel will draw in business from any out-of-town guests you may have that are coming to the wedding and in need of a place to stay.
